About Roselyne
I am a qualified Psychoanalytic Psychotherapist having trained at the University of Kent Canterbury and am a registered member of the UKCP (United Kingdom Council for Psychotherapy) which means I follow their code of ethics and I am annually assessed.
I also have a number of years’ experience working within NHS Mental Health settings and have worked with a diverse client base addressing a wide range of issues such as anxiety, obsessive compulsive disorder, self harm, depression, suicidal ideation, postnatal depression and addiction.
Because I believe it is important to keep up with research and developments in modern counselling and psychotherapy, I attend regular seminars and workshops.
I take great care in developing a trustworthy relationship with each person I work with. Everyone is unique, therefore I develop a creative and individual approach that is suited to your needs. My psychoanalytic practice is relationally informed. This means that the relationship between the client and the therapist is a key feature of the therapeutic work.
During our work together I will listen attentively and non-judgementally to what you are sharing with me. Together, we will explore the origins of the difficulties you are experiencing, which may be outside of your conscious awareness. We will look at the way past experiences can influence how you are feeling in the present.
In the process, I will help you discover new, more rewarding ways of being and responding to what is going on around you, thus making long term positive changes to your life and wellbeing.
